Finding Lower Fuel Prices

Here is a site we can all appreciate, gasbuddy.com. It is, as I understand it, a compilation from volunteers who send in reports of lower gas prices in their area. There are also sites specific to many regions across North America. For British Columbia, Canada, where we live, try bcgasprices.com.

Obviously paying less to fill a tank is good. Beyond that, skilled drivers, those who concentrate on smoothness, anticipation, and awareness, can use up to twenty percent less fuel for a given drive than those who are paying less attention to this sort of thing. That is one of the benefits of the tactics portion taught by good precision driving clinics. Sidorov Advanced Driver Training, my company, includes a comprehensive check ride in the curriculum. The website is www.spdt.ca.

Combining lower prices, better driving, and the reduced maintenance cost from being smoother with the controls can not only ease pocketbook strain, but save sheetmetal and lives as well.
